I was in stand today and say a fawn feeding from its mother still. It feed for 3 minutes then walked off is this normal for this time of year?

Fawn(s) born at their normal time are probably weaned by now or will be really soon. If you saw a fawn that was a triplet, or the doe was bred late-gave birth late....then that's most likely normal. Either way, in a couple of weeks mom probably won't tolerate it any longer. That's up here in MN anyway.

Last year I had a doe and twins in front of me. One of the fawns tried to get some milk and mom kicked him/her square in the side. LOL!!!! I laughed out loud and spooked the deer. But I didn't care, one of the funniest things I've seen yet out in the woods!!!
