Feathered arrow transport and storage?

Just wondering what is the best way to transport and store arrows with feather fletching. Is it ok to just use a pvc pipe with a cap on both ends for transport and storage? I don't want the feathers to get messed up from them laying on the feathers. Maybe I can rig it so it stands up in the truck and keep it standing when storing?

Additionally, there may be hundreds of miles on insane dirt roads 18" boulders just throwing everything around. Will they be ok during this or do I need to stuff something into the pvc tube to stop the vibrations?

You can cut a couple of pieces of cardboard that match the inside diameter of the pipe and layout holes so that your feathers will clear each other…and alternating feathers up and feathers down should allow you to maximize the number of arrows the tube will accommodate. Good Luck with it…Enjoy, Rick.

PVC pipe is fine, I used to do that all time in the bed of my truck. I use closing arrow carriers now but you really dont need too...

The cardboard boxes with arrow holders/separators are fine and MTM sells plastic arrow cases that hold up to 2 dozen arrow with foam dividers. At home I've made arrow racks that hold several gross of arrows vertically.
