Im getting a set of x7s for indoors, and am thinking if i should use feathers or straight fletches.
When i used the AAE EP26 on my outdoor arrows, i had clearance issues and the fletches (closest to the arrow rest) will get wrinkled (like a wave) after some time. Couldnt seem to solve the problem no matter how i rotated the nock position. I now use 40 mm kurly vanes and have no problems because of the lower profile.
Now back to the feathers, which have quite a high profile, if i encounter clearance problems, will the feathers be ruffled up like a feather duster?
Any thoughts on this will be appreciated, or you can say why u prefer feathers over fletches and vv. thanks
btw, i shoot recurve...
