The guy at the local pro shop told me not to put anything on them. He said that when you shoot, the force of the arrow moving will make the water come off. Now whether that's true or not I don't know.

Loon outdoors silicon fly floatant. I have a bunch of it from fly fishing. Works great. I can spray the hackles on a dry fly, let it dry, and submerge the fly and the hackle won't be wet. Just let it dry before you get it wet.

I also use this stuff on monofilment flshing line for my float rods when I want the line to float.
