I kill a Deer. I have been hunting since i was 5 my gpa used to take me squirrel and rabbit hunting.. I started deer hunting with bow when i turned 18. Late, but no one in my family hunted deer. Anyway the last deer i killed was young 2 year old I had got anything all season 2 weeks left so shot it. Well i felt real guilty and actually gave up hunting all together. I mean its not like i wasted anything i have 3 kids of my own and 3 by marriage so we ate everything.. I haven't hunted for 10 years because of how i felt and with no interest.
Well now i am in a situation were i had a double fusion on my low back in july and my 18 year old son asked me if i would teach him how to bow hunt before he went to college. How could i say no. Im not sure why he never asked before i guess maybe cause for the last 10 years i dint hunt. Not to mention we could use the meat.. My younger ones are wanting to learn also even my 6 year old daughter has been in the back yard while i get my oldest son ready for OCT. I am on 60% of my income and will be for another 6 months at least. Now the only way i can hunt at least this year is with CB and my app is in with the sate i should be getting it back soon..
Not real sure why i posted this. I haven't even told my wife why i don't hunt anymore. I guess i thought maybe someone else had gone through feeling remorse before. Thanks for reading and GL this season to every one.
