Field point to broadhead question

So I normally shoot 100 grain field points. I’ve been told to not stress about broadhead weight too much but I’m curious if going to a 125 grain broadhead would throw me off?

I have 125 field points. They seem to shoot the same as the 100. Only issue is they are slightly too thick for my arrow shaft and become a pain to pull out of my bag target.

I’m planning to shoot slick trick viper tricks if that helps. Thanks!

Man there’s a lot to unpack here lol. Folks are gonna want to know your exact arrow set up as well as your bow speed, draw weight and length, brace, letoff and ata. The reason being is 25 grains on the front will effect your arrow spine. Depending on your rig it may effect it greatly or barely at all but the only way to find out is to answer all those questions above and plug the answers into a spine calculator table or app. Even the weight of your fletchings can matter for arrow spine. If you’re just wanting to know whether or not the added weight will change your point of impact the answer is yes. Probably not enough to matter at 20, def noticeable at 30, 40 will be enough to miss and so on. Hope this helps answer your question.

Well, I'm new to this and probably don't have all the numbers. The specs list it at IBO 330 (Mission Ballistic). I just had the shop check my draw weight at 65lbs, 27" draw. I'm currently shooting a Vforce 340 spine arrow and according to the charts, I'm right where I'm supposed to be spine-wise.

My main question is whether I'll see a significant difference in flight? I'm guessing I won't, especially since I'm capping myself to ~40 yards this season, but I'd like some other opinions!

Go to Ebay and buy some points in the correct diameter, they are cheap. Go to victoryarchery.com arrow guide/open spine calculator and check your current spine, and spine with the 125 grain, check 150 too while you are there. Bare shaft tune tour bow at 20 yards with the different weights ans see hot it shoots.

I tried some 100 grain vs 125 grain just last week and saw very little difference out to 30 yards. At 40, I was about 3" or 4" low. My bow is tuned for bareshafts at 30 yards.
