Field point weight?

I think I have figured out how to select the right spine for my arrows. I still can't find a good guide for selecting field points. I know field point and broad head weight should be the same but how to initially pick the weight? My draw is 30.5 and I'm right around 65lbs on a 70lb max bow. Does IBO/ATA rating make a difference? Im shooting maxima hunters from carbon express cut to 29 3/4 inch length. I am currently using 100 grain tips but I want to know would I benefit from going up or down in weight? Thanks in advance for any help or pointers.

Not to discourage you but you can't have your spine if you don't know your point weight. The weight you put on an arrow has a direct correlation spine deflection. The more weight the softer(more deflection. The lighter the weight, less deflection.

So for starters, your spine isn't so much a choice as it is a result of the choices youput on your arrow. For example a typical release aid shooter with your specs and a 100 great point with 3 blazers would want a deflection range of .300 to .340. if you choose a 85gr point you you'll need more deflection or .340 to .400. opposite if you added a 125gr point.

All the is just the tip of the iceberg. Add FoC to that and you've got yourself a balancing act that necessitates proper knowledge and huge attention to detail to get right.

And ultimately, every bow is different and nothing compares to trial and error. Get it right on paper and go out and shoot. If it's not to your liking revise and try again. But you can't do that without all the proper knowledge. You're close but you're just missing a few details.

Keep asking questions as you learn and you'll get there.

You lack information. There is no right around draw weight or just throw out Maxima Hunter. You need to be specific. That you do have Carbon Express arrows you can use their "Adjusted Weight Chart" so that you can select a arrow from their arrow chart.
A quick glance at Carbon Express's Charts and using your specs says the Maxima 350 arrow with 100 or 125 gr point. Type and weight of vanes makes a difference, but nothing drastic.
FOC for hunting, proven over years 10% is considered minimum, 12 to 15% ideal, and 20% is okay, but really required.

I'm shooting a pse source at 65lbs 30.5 inch draw. I have carbon express maxima hunter 350 arrows that were pre fletched with blazer vanes and are cut to 29 3/4 inch length. I have 100 grain field points in them. Would it be beneficial to switch to a heavier point? If I want to increase to 70lb max draw weight and everything else is the same can I still use 100 grain points or would I need a different weight point?
