have you had any training? otherwise find someone who knows what they are doing because that can get really messy really fast (I have been and worked 2 seasons)
I was always told spring was best. I am no expert by any means, but as a kid thats what me and my dad and grandpa always did. come late febuary or early march thats when we always did it.
Spring burns allow for brush to take over unless you burn late and it's dry so the fire gets hot enough to split the outer bark on the light brush to set it back so the grass can get going.
