well I finally scored after 47 hours on stand i passed them up and I missed one bigger then this last weekend but iam sure happy with this one.

I can only hunt after football practice so really I only have about an hour and a half to two hours each day but on this one I got stuck in cheney with out a ride so I called my friend and he came and picked me up and I was at the house at about 6 and it was raing really hard so I really wasent planning on huntingbut for some reason I just told my self go so I loaded every thing up and was out there and it takes about 10 min to walk across the field and to my treestand. as I was climbing up I saw 2 doescome running out in the field. It was the same 2 does that I saw playing the night before with this same buck. so I got up in my stand raised by bow up and got an arrow nocked and was sitting there waiting well the wait dident last long when I saw a deer coming through the trees which is on a trail 15.5 yards away from the stand. I could tell by the body he wasent no small buck or doe so I stood up and came to full draw just as he came in to the shooting lane. I dident have to look twice to decide my season was about to end! I scooze the shot off and it looked like it hit way low but man was that a cool sound! sounded like an arrow passing through a pumpkin and I herd the arrow smash into the ground. right when I shot he ran off in the direction he came from but remember in the begining of the story it had been a down pour for the last 24 hours so every thing was really quite and soft so I could just here something stop but never herd any thing fall. So I called my dad down in Idaho which is on his first elk hunt but I never got a hold of him so I knew that the blood trail was going to be sparse so I went to where he was when I shot but as I got up to the trail he was pilled up only about 10 yards from where I had shot! Oh man was I pumped! I couldent even dial my phone to get my friend up to help drag him out! as I gutted him out the arrow zipped right through both lungs and the front end of the heart! I found the arrow and there was absolutley no blood trail at all! right where the deer was like its last 2 steps there was some blood but as far as following a blood trail the was nothing! that was the first deer I had ever shot in weather like that so that was new. but he ended up scoring 133 and 4/8 so Iam sure happy with him.

THe field pics are kinda crappy but the pics turned all out alright out on the deck so yup yup I cant wait till next year!!!!!

I cant get the dang pics to come up but I will figure it out later I got a whole 4 hours of sleep last night so yeah

The ones that are going to turn out the best are the ones we took with the 35 mm so once we get those developed I will scan them and put them on

Good luck to every one!!
