Just drew first blood with the Hoyt Alphamax 35 I bought new this February. Caught a dang opossum sneakin' through our back yard. He's been eatin' the kitties food from the porch so he had to go. Plus he and his kind are one of the contributing factors to our turkey population here in Northwest Arkansas bein' in the craptastic state that it is. First shot was a little back but luckily it pinned him to a fencepost which gave me a dead-still broadside follow up shot.

It was too dark for the iPhone to take pics. But I swear his tail was 13.5" long...definitely would have gone Boone and Crockett.

In light of having zero pics, I'll take this moment to post a link. Hopefully this link and post will encourage us all to help our Turkey Populations by eliminating a few predators here and there when we can.
