I wasn't able to hunt the opening weekend of bow season here in Georgia, but I did manage to make it the following Tuesday (Sep 12). Didn't see anything that morning, but had a nice buck walk by the stand that evening around 6:40pm. I made a double lung shot from around 13 yards out of a climber, and the deer managed to cover almost 200 yards before he finally went down. I wasn't able to weigh the deer, but I would estimate him around 155lbs. Outside spread was just over 17", and the deer was taken with a Martin Jaguar Magnum bow and Wasp broadheads.
Now, back to the woods!!
