Hello all, I have recently decided to get into archery, and my first step is to buy a bow. I want a takedown recurve bow. I am 6'5 with a draw length of 31", and am 190 pounds. I am pretty fit, if that matters. As of now, I've been interested in the Spyder XL Takedown. It is 64 inches, and I am thinking I will get a draw weight of 35 pounds. What do you guys think? I will only be using it for target practice for now.
I am totally open to suggestions as to what takedown recurve bow I should buy. I do want something at least 64 inches. I have a $300 budget, but would like to save some room for accessories such as arrows, glove, etc. Any recommendations? Thanks!

You may want to ask this in the Traditional Archery section. Most in this section are compound bow shooters . Good luck with your new bow, whatever you may get!--BB
