First Bowkill of 08....
Saturday.....I beat a copperhead to death at the base of my stand.....That time I used a stick.
Today, I wondered what the big log lying next to the copperhead was. It was a huge cottonmouth. So I lanced it.

This is a pic after I let the air out of it......by the time I got down and got my camera it had torn itself off the arrow and was still biting.

This was the most pressure packed shot I've ever taken in an archery career that spans some 20 yrs. I feared if I missed that he would coil at the base of my tree and wait on me.

did u have to be rushed to the hospital before your lungs stopped working after the human bit u?I have been bitten by more humans than snakes, I’ll bet the same goes for almost everyone.
