Hello all, new shooter, would like some advice...I have a Davis Sight System on the way, a complete system, sight , scope, mount, the whole nine yards. I'm very handy so I expect no issues mechanically setting it up but, is there anything I should know before I get started, should I use a thread locking agent on the bolts and screws, I know from searching to not leave any unsupported scope rod, any help would be awesome.

Thank you, I wrote this on my phone, so I have no idea how it will come out!

I've not used a Davis sight, but I imagine it will be very similar to a Sure Loc. I wouldn't use any thread lock unless you find you need it. If anything will get loose it might be the scope rod. Just snug down the scope rod and check it after the first couple dozen shots. If you do find you need it, try a dot of clear nail polish. Easily removed with acetone and inexpensive. Everything else just gently tighten, remember, you a threading a steel screw into aluminum.
