Hi guys. I am looking for a new hunting jacket for this upcoming season and was looking for suggestions. I am looking for something windproof and silent to wear as an outer layer over my base layers and equinox hoodie to get me down to a temp range in the teens and fitted enough to bowhunt in. I love Sitka products but I was hoping to find something a tad less expensive (up to $220 range) if possible. I am a Midwest tree stand bow hunter. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you

I also use the Cabelas Berber Fleece when it gets cold. It is very quiet although a bit bulky and a bit heavy. But I find I it doesn't bind me up or feel like I'm a sausage stuffed into a casing. I'm just over 6 feet and around 200 pounds and I have the XL vest, jacket, pullover and L pants. I don't hunt in the pullover anymore as I have bad shoulders and it hurts to pull it on. But the pants, vest, and jacket with layering gets me through a sit in the temps you mention. I wouldn't sit all day in it though. I'd freeze. If you are looking to do long sits, the Sitka Fanatic might be the best.

I did have the stratus and it was a great jacket. I sold it because I felt it was a touch noisy when drawing my bow. I kept the bibs though and they are my exclusive lower outerwear all year long
