Good evening, everyone. I recently purchased a Fleetwood Edge #29 62" recurve. I was at an archery shop here in Michigan with my wife, picking out a new target bow for her, and saw this guy. I asked to test fire it in their range, and was impressed with it. I thought it would be a nice addition to my collection of recurves and picked it up for about $150. I understand it's an entry to intermediate level bow, but just liked the feel and how it shot.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had purchased additional limbs for this make/model and if so, what would someone recommend? I'm looking for either #50 or #55 limbs for swapping into a hunting role with the bow.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Old Mountain Edge II 50# which is basically the same bow with a different label. Bought it NIB online about three years ago. Won't tell you what I paid... suffice to say I didn't really need it, but I couldn't pass up the deal I stumbled upon. It's a fun, nice shooting economy bow.

Old Mountain Edge I/II, Fleetwood Edge, SWA Spyder, Samick/Galaxy Sage --- they're all essentially the same foreign built bow with minor cosmetic differences. One similarity is the bolt-on (read non-ILF) limbs. As far as I know, they're interchangeable amongst the lot, so long as you don't stray from the 62"AMO sizing. I suspect the 60" and 64" AMO limbs would dimensionally work but would obviously require a new string and might be off a few pounds one way or the other depending on if the non 62" risers are the same or different length (I don't know).

Couple years ago I frankenbowed an old Golden Eagle riser into a sweet shooting recurve. I ordered some 45# Sage limbs and they are identical in construction, quality, and all critical dimensions to my OME II limbs.

So as far as limb recommendations, you're not going to have the luxury of the ton of choices you'd have with an ILF setup. With the bolt-ons you're going to find a handful of options, all pretty much the same limb with different labels/graphics. My advice is find the best deal from a reputable seller, buy 'em, install 'em, and have fun.

With that bow you are limited to Samick Sage sister/clone bows, like NxNW has stated. The limbs swap from riser to riser. I had a Fleetwood recurve and it was a nice bow. The only problem I had was the AMO bushings on the side of the riser were loose. A little dab of glue fix that. I use a detachable arrow quiver and need those to work.
