What decides which way an arrow is fletched. Is it the way the bow naturally throws it, if you shoot right handed or left? I am about to fletch my fist arrows and have a right and left helical clamp.

For what its worth….ive been fletching my arrows left for the last several years. Ive been using a bitz for this. This year i needed to build new arrows and the thought of using my right helical ez fletch was much more appealing than gluing one vane at a time with the bitz...so i built 4 left and 4 right and shot them for several days out to 60 yards. My findings? The arrows grouped together every time. You could not tell a single bit of difference. My ocd was kinda bothered by this, but the amount of time i save by using the ez fletch makes it completely worth it.

I just shot my bow with a bare arrow to see which way the arrow spins at 5 feet. The starting point was at 12 o'clock that I marked with a silver paint pen. the paint mark after shooting it was at 7 o'clock. From what I have read on this subject everyone else its at 10 or 11 o'clock. Is my arrow spinning too much. I asked the pro at the shop and he said it doesn't matter since I shoot a drop away rest So I could use left or right helical. Does this make sense.
