I am getting some contact from my blazers and I can't figure out the proper position of the cock vane. What is everone else using? I tried a few different positions, but I am leaving some orange marks on the rest, so the contact is obviously happening.

Thanks for your help. I need it as soon as possible, I am trying to practice up for an upcoming church tournament in a few weeks.

Best way to set up your dropaway is to use the down cable... if you dont have it setup using down cable,, your cable slide wont be able to drop fast enough to avoid arrow contact,,, Period,,, Make sure when you serve it to your down cable that your rest comes up the last 1"-2" when drawing bow,,, Good luck! If that doesn't work ,, you may have to add twists to your cables,,,, Takeum

The QAD is set up differently than others (Trophy Taker). You need to cock the rest and have the rope pull it to the full back position at the same time the bow reaches full draw. If you are serving it in, you ned to split the cable and put the rope between them well down the cable (several inches). Cock the rest pull all the rope slack through the cable and go to full draw. The rope will self adjust. Now serve it in.

The cable clamp works well also.
Attach the clamp several inches down the cable. Just start the screws so that they grab on the threads. push the rope in from the top while pushing up on the clamp. The rope will slide through the clamp. grab the rope and pull it through the clamp. Tighten the clamp so that the rope/ clamp will just slide on the cable. Cock the rest. Pull all the rope slack down through the clamp. Go to full draw. The clamp will self adjust. Let down and tighten the clamp.

Shoot cock vane up!

The rest is already set up with the cable clamp, I was just wondering about the cock vane position. I will give it a shot upwards. Thanks for the replies.

Four Fletch

I have used mine cock vane up with no problems, but I switched to four fletch and that gives you a little additional clearance. I like the look of four solid color vanes and in the heat of the moment you can't make a mistake. A lot of guys on here say there is no difference in flight also, and I agree.
