Fletching Contact

484 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  The CHAMP
Im shooting my PSE bow with a whisker biscuit. The two hen fletchings keep making contact with the bottom of the whisker biscuit. I live in Tucson, should I just take it to PSE and have them tune it?

Depends! Do you want to take it to them every time you have issues or would you like to learn to fix it yourself so that you don't have to rely on someone else?

If you want to try yourself, then tell us a bit more about your set-up:

Bow Model

Cam type

Draw length

Arrow type, length, spine, type of fletch

Bow poundage

Finally found someone else having the same problem. I think I am going to a smaller vane and getting away from the fusions. They just wont clear the rest. I have had my bow tuned and set up right but the fusion vanes will hit.

One of the first things to do is make sure that your knocking point is at 90 degrees. It sounds like your arrow is pointed down hill causing the fletch to strike as it passes through.
