im a beginer . i shoot a recurve and i wish to to do my own fletchings. im using aluminum arrows at this time. what kind of fletchings would work the best

Feathers will work best, especially if you are shooting off the shelf.

feathers, but unless theyre for broadheads , try som 3 or 4" the shorter they are the easier they are to fletch. since you have contact points with the arrow and bow ,the individual fingers or strands in a feather is soft ,lots of forgiving,give nature to them a vane cannot match.

It depends on how you are shooting your recurve and what kind of archery you are going to do.

If you are shooting on a rest with a sight then you may be better off with a different type of fletching than if you are shooting instictively off the shelf.
