The Excalibur series may be out of production, but there's something in the works under the Mybo name...

Very nice, though i hope that there will be a proper follow-up to the Excalibur at some point. I really liked the riser design and options.

Heard a few rumours recently, but nothing to say when they're launching or how much like the prototype it'll look. Not many weeks left if they want to launch this year, unless they're trying to play with the big boys and launch at the ATA Show. Otherwise maybe it's destined to be 2016? :dontknow:

There were some new pictures of the riser on facebook recently, the name seem to be 'Mybo Origin'. Seems like they are currently producing them in a somewhat larger quantity.. No information on the website, though.

The Origin has launched. Had one in my hand yesterday at the Mybo booth.

Riser geometry is very close to the prototype, but the side plates and broadhead guard are gone. New cams are bigger, rounder and less aggressive. Another binary like the Excalibur had; I'm not sure which/whose patents they're licensing for this bow.

Overall construction looks much better than the Excalibur ever did IMO. Surprisingly short ATA for a dedicated target bow; looks pretty small at a glance, but the big cams will help string angle. Size is fairly close to a Chill X.

Mybo have also announced several new pro-staff in the UK, so we'll see where they get this year.

Too bad that the Origin covers only 24"-31". Just that one inch too short for me. But what a beautiful bow it is! I really hope to see some of them in the coming years.

Seems like maybe they had some feedback about wanting a longer Origin...

To my eye, the PSE-look of the Origin has evolved into a slightly more Halon-esque riser IMO, with the fashionable multidirectional cutouts (riser cages).

Personally still wish they'd ditch the weird plastic inlay in the grip, above all else. Just a bit Fisher Price for my taste!

Quite a few Origins on shooting lines here; the Edge may be one to watch for 2017 - there will be a lot of existing Mybo shooters switching over I'm sure. Especially if they can pack a bit more 'go' into the cams than the Origin had.

That is a work of art! I think I need this in my life
Hello
You had your chance

Sorry
Still like my 2 Merlin solid limb bows. No cable guards. Smooth as silk. And a bow grip that feels oh so good. I wish I had been introduced to one 30 years ago. [ Later

Assuming that is the Merlin Max 2000 ?
Had one myself years ago & shot PB's with it, but believe me, these new bows are far better ;-)
The Mybo Origin took 2 years to design & perfect before ready to launch & is such an easy bow to tweak & tune with it's binary cams. It has received favourable response from some very harsh critics here in Australia, plus a very well known identity from the USA ;-)
& a stunning range of colours.......

Hello
? bow weight difference with this new design Merlin bow. And the Merlin Max 2000 .

And I just haft to ask. The bow grip and its forward riser angle.
Has that changed with this new Design Merlin bow.

Reason I asked the minuet I raised that Merlin Max 2000. I was in love  with how that bow grip seemed to locate my bow hand. Each and every time.[ Later

Merlin bows always did provide for a very repeatable hand position in the past, as is on your Max 2000. Don`t expect any different on the Origen and Edge.
To me, with a 29+ DL, a 39 ATA would be my favorite. I hardly can`t wait for the specs. I wonder what cams they use. From the pics they look a bit older style.
