What is the in. lbs. of force needed to compress the limbs on an average parallel bow press? I am looking at installing an electric or hydraulic motor on the press I want to build.

Our test have found it take about 180# to press a 60# bow. Pressing at the tips of the limbs. You should add to insure you have enough. Also if you are starting an electric motor with a load on it you will need some kind of booster to start it.
