I know not one of those how's my form threads, but How's my form?!! I just got back into shooting after about a 3 year layoff. I was about a shop level shooter and wanted to see if anything had creeped in after a few years? Be brutal!!!

Thanks

It looks pretty darned good overall.
What I like about it is that it looks like your back is holding the weight of the draw, and you also appear to be fairly relaxed...............these are very good things.
What I might look at is this;
the bowarm is slightly bent...............now thats fine and dandy, but it wouldn't hurt to see if you can straighten it out. This will do three things......
1)Bring the bow up to where you'll be more in line.
2)Keep you from dropping the arm on release more when getting tired.
3)Possibly help steady up your aim.
For myself I've found that getting my upper body close as I can to a tee shape has helped to steady my aim.
This is only a suggestion to try out........I know there are some really good shooters that like to have their arm bent.

The bent arm... as stated above and it might help some to relax the three finers on your release hand a bit.... to make your three release fingers next to index.... kind of dangle... you might already be doing this but it is hard to tell in the pic....

hope this helps,

form

Shooter,

I am using a CJ eagle 4 finger with strap, I use it as a three finger. I draw with the middle finger in the ring finger slot and move the ring finger over. This way I don't have to worry about accidentally triggering the release on the draw. I then move the middle finger over to the proper channel but leave the ring finger where it is. I try to lay the trigger in the middle crease then pull with back tension. I have found that this release has helped me tremendously in using back tension. I just can't wait till I have enough cash for the Double seared Eagle from Stanislawski. I used to use a Stan four finger before I got out for a while. I appreciate all the help guys! Keep it coming if anyone sees anything else.

thanks

I will try and get there. Not sure right now because I am in school and the nights I use to study and roll around with the kids. Thanks for the invite. I will probably try and do some of the Sunday shoots though.

Todd it is a CSS Challenger with the P1 cam.

I was at the range today, and a coach who happened to be there told me to lower my shoulder to beld the elbow and fix the grip. All of this was done by lowering the shoulder. But now I hear from archers that the arm should be straight? Confusion!

If you straighten your arm a little more and take more of the bow wieght on the wrist bone not the palm of the hand it wont load up your bow arm shoulder as much. Every thing else looks good. Shootem in the middle and good luck.
