today me and my buddy went to Dick's sporting goods and they had a Fred Bear Instinct haning up on the rack. I didnt shoot the bow, but i did draw it and have to say, its pretty smooth. A little on the heavy side for my liking, but for the money the price its pretty sweet. Has anyone shot one yet? I sure liked the draw cycle and the valley on it. (yes, I just realized I spelled instinct wrong in the title of the thread)

The Bear line up shouldn't be overlooked. I've shot the Code, Instinct, and TRX400. These are excellent bows at bargain prices. I can see these bows living for 15 years. They're solid and simple with performance that's as good as bows costing twice as much. I found the valley on the Code to be typical solo cam. A little longer and less "grabby" than I expected. The bows are a little heavy, but not ugly heavy. Solid bows with proven designs.
