I just bought the bhfs 10" stab and am thinking about getting the v bars for my bowmadness. My question is the side bars are 8" so are they still ok for 3d because they are 6" behind my bow or could anyone help me out with this?

6" max is what I have heard from the fartherest part back of the grip.

the measurement is from point of attachment
If you're talking ASA, it's 6" from the point of attachemnt ON THE REAR OF THE RISER or 6" from the back of the grip. As most people use a v-bar bracket or offset bracket mounted to the front of the riser, the measurement IS NOT taken from the actual point of attachment. 8" should be fine. If you mount them at an angle, you can get away with 9"-9.5" depending on the angle.
