Anyone have experiences with G5 megameats that they can share? Would love to hear them!

I've killed 2 with them this year, and have had great results. Only downside is the blades do bend , so they'll need replaced. Other than that they've been great. Excellent entrance and exit holes, with great blood trails.

I've had great results with them so far on 3 deer. The blades are done for after one time, but I'm ok with changing the blade's...

I’ve shot the Mega Meats the last 2 seasons and I’m moving away from them for next yr. I’m shooting 70#’s, 27.5 DL, 405gr arrow wt (125gr heads) @ 284fps.

Shot a big OH 5 1/2 yr old last season at 7 yds (!!) just left of spine as he was under me. Arrow blasted him, blades caught the heart and he died w/in 20yds..... but arrow never came out the bottom of the buck.

Just Friday, I shoot a 3 1/2 yr old OH 10pt buck at 22yds broadside. No shoulder, only ribs. Perfect triangle entry wound, ~14” of penetration. He ran ~60yds and flopped leaving good blood from the entry....again, no exit.

Lots of variables in play, but I’m done with these and going back to fixed blades. I’m sure bigger men with longer draws, heavier arrows do fine. But I ain’t growing up anytime soon[emoji3]

Sounds like they've preformed well for you. Good luck.

Are the MM’s truly easier to tune or sight in with your field points? That was one of the main points I read in their advertisements. They have a field point available they claim flies exactly like the Broadhead.

I have them in my quiver but have not used them yet. Buddy is mostly fix blade guy but sent his last sharp one at a yote. Mega meat was his back up and he shot a real nice 8 shortly after the coyote. He had complete pass through. Put it perfectly between the ribs. The tip missed the ribs but the deployed blades hit. Looks like 2 blades slightly closed but re-opened fully as it got to second lung. Head looks new.

I tried them out recently.
125 grain megameat
My setup is mathews v3x 33 29"dl 70#
Arrow is easton sonic 250 spine 75gr brass insert and 125gr head. TAW is 495gr.
Shot a 110-115# hog and had the best bloodtrail I've ever had from a hog and she only made it 60 yards. Complete pass through and arrow was lying 7 yards past her. Only 1 blade was bent and don't know if it's from rocks after pass through or from a rib. Either way I'm a believer in them for my new mech for deer and hogs in similar size or smaller. I replaced the blades and it's back in the quiver ready for rd 2. I picked up more replacement blades and 2 more packs of megameats yesterday so I'm set for a while.

Fake news. You can't kill hogs with mechanicals and arrows under 500 grains.
