I have the Garmin E-Trex Legend C and was going to buy the Mapsource Topo for the U.S. Two of my friends have similar models and I was wondering if the software can be downloaded to any receiver at any time?
I see that they come with download codes, does this mean that you have to link up with the Garmin site to get the OK to download?

You will not believe the info you will find on the Topo maps. I use mine in Maine woods and also have the Blue Charts for fishing here in the ocean. Streams and woods roads and Mountains are all named and then there are contour lines and much more!

You can load the maps on as many gps units as you want. Great cd. I love it. Really makes the gps that much better.

I have the Blue Charts and you can only load them to 2 units. You need unlock codes which you get from Garmin. The Topo stuff must be different.

Has anyone used the Parks and Rec CD? I use the topo for ATV exploring, but was told the Parks and Rec did a better job. Not sure what he ment?
