I'm wanting to get a new wrist release. I know T handle and hinge style releases might be better, those and I don't have a very good relationship. I have used a Truball Assassin for years.

a few I am considering are the Truball Fang GS, The Trufire Hardcore Max, The Truglo Detonator or Activator. All but the Activator are hook-style release, the activator being a single caliper.

Please give me some opinions if you have experience with these releases.

Thanks!

I have used the hardcore max for the last 2 years and I really like it shoots well. The truball beast II is also a great release and like the solid adjustment for the length my hardcore the screw gets loose and have to re-tighten it and the beast is so crisp. Another I haven't shot but heard was very good was the chicken wing. Feel free to ask any questions if you need

Last spring I retired a pair of trufire calipers that served me flawlessly for over a decade of near daily shooting. I picked up a hardcore max and after a couple shots realized it was a release I will stick with and got another. I love the hook and the strap is very comfortable. I also like the fold back feature. It is very adjustable. The body has a 1" length adjustment, the trigger is adjustable for both pressure and travel. The head swivels on a bearing making it nearly impossible to apply any torque to your loop. It definitely gets 2 thumbs up from me..

I know you didn't mention it but the Scott Talon is a very smooth release. I'm using it now. Have had it for about 3 months. I was using a tru fire Hurricane and a tru fire Thor. I like the Talon much better.

I have been shooting the tru ball execute for a couple months now and I am really liking it, it is allowing me to execute without the need to pull the trigger at all. The trigger has absolutely no creep to be felt when you are shooting and the spring tension is allowing me to make it not stupid light but nice and light so I can lay my finger on the trigger and then run my firing engine and it fires nicely.

I really like the fact that it doesn't ramp up the trigger pull based on your poundage, it is just like a good thumb trigger. You reset it and that trigger pull is the same no matter the poundage of the bow.

I don't really like the fact that it isn't a hook release for hunting but after a couple months of shooting I think I am going to be good to go when a deer walks up.
