I am getting back into bow hunting again after a number of years without shooting a bow. The last bow I purchased was about 15 years ago and there have been a number of changes since then. I looked at new bows the other day and though the speed has greatly increased it seems they are a lot shorter and not as smooth as my old bow. I think some of that may have to do with the let off percentage.

I am looking to get a used bow that’s just a couple of years old and would like some recommendations. I am more concerned about smoothness, quietness and accuracy opposed to speed. I am 6’4” and the short bows feel so small to me, so I think something a little longer axle to axle would also be nice. A friend of mine recommended I look at the Mathews Switchback. Any other opinions?
