I've got my TT Shakey Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes at distances up to 13 yards, but when I put a fletched shaft on, I'm getting bad contact between the inside fletch and the inside rest prong. I've got it tuned so that it raises in the last 1.5 inch and center shot and up&down is perfect. Rest contacts shelf and has moleskin on prong and shelf. What else can I do to get rid of the fletch contact. Basically, it looks like the rest isn't getting out of the way fast enough.

have yo tied shooting it cock vane down,i have a friend of mine that is shooting his that way to avoid contact issues, otherwise play with the timing of the rest
I'll try that. However, I keep getting confused on which way to move the pull rope (up or down) on the buss cable to make the rest drop faster. Can someone explain this to me?

i shoot my arrows with the cock vane out on my drop-zone. flechings stay away from my rest and cables. perhaps that will help if you haven't tried it already!:darkbeer:

Actually, that's what is giving me the fletch contact... I just think I don't have the drop timed correctly. And, I don't know what to do to make it drop faster since the TT doesn't seem to have any kind of spring adjustment.

Up makes it rise slower and drop sooner...
Thanks Javi! So, if I move the pull cord up the cable, it should make the rest drop sooner and hopefully clearup my fletch contact. I'll give it a try.

Check with the manufacturer. I believe you can increase the spring tension, but you might have to take it apart and actually stretch the spring. A lot of guys grind the ears down a little smaller to avoid vane contact.:ballchain :darkbeer:

Figured it out...

My problem was because my my nocking point was too low. I raised my d-loop up a quarter of an inch, readjusted my rest up and my fletching contact disappeared. I didn't even have to adjust my pull cord outside of what's considered normal. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else has this problem.

your problem may be that your rest is dropping to soon. have someone mark an arrow when you're at full draw. then mark it again when (it first comes fully up.) set it so the rest is fully up, 1 3/4 inches before full draw. if it drops to soon you will make contact, and also shoot lower.
