Gillo brass alignment plates

Is anyone using the replacement brass alignment plates from Gillo in their GT / GF riser and if so, did you notice any difference in how tight you can screw the alignment grub screws before the limb starts to get “locked”?

I have a GT25 on the way and am contemplating the brass plates, but at circa £20 EACH (not per pair) I don’t want to spend the money for no appreciable difference to the aluminium ones which come as standard.

Brass align plates are standard in Gillo hunting risers, which means the old Ghost, the GT 19 and GT 21 and the GQ 23 Hunter. All other Gillo risers have exactly the same ALU 7075 Gold color anodized align plate, with tens of thousands in the market already starting 11 years ago. Brass and Alu plates cost us exactly the same, so we use one or the other for weight reasons , and some BB shooters think the small added weight of the Brass one is worth using, but we supply the ALU one to Fiberbow for the lightness they need. As for the thin walls, Brass one is just a bit more resistant to exaggerated tightening by archers. Our align plates are a small piece of precision, 100% tested before assembly to give the perfect fit to the dovetail bolt, keeping their precision fitting and easy extraction.
Like any precision part, you need to learn how to use it ( and JK did not ask to us or read the manual before doing that old video).

Many thanks for the information above, most helpful. Just out of interest, when you are aligning limbs at Gillo do you stick to a specific torque on the alignment screws or is it all experience and "feel" instead?
