i am havening a hard time gluing vanes to arrow wraps they wont stick how is the best way to glue them and what type of glue should i use thanks

Which fletching are you using? I use wraps all the time and find it easier than straight to the arrow.

duravanes a have a whisker biscuit so i cant use quick spin

I've had a lot os success by apply pressure for about 30 secs to a minute on each vane. This gives the glue time to properly set and also insures that the vane has full contact. Also after I am done i place a small drop on the front and back of the vanes.

you CAN use the new quikspin ST's, tougest vanes i have used yet ,
blows away the old quikspins for toughness ,
i have one arrow that has been clear through no less than 5 3d targets and you cant tell ,
they arent wavy in the least, try that with the old style quikspins LOL

i also was having some problems with them sticking to a wrap , so i tried out the quikspin fletch prep wipes, worked like a charm ,now i cant pull them off.

i have had GREAT luck with the bohning archery instant gel ..

and before i used this i used the loctite extra time goof proof liquid,it worked great also .

Glue

Goat tuff, until you want to re-fletch. They don't seem to want to come off.

I just fletched my first arrows using fresh Goat Tuff glue and Savage Duravanes on wraps and the vanes laugh at the Whisker Biscuit while passing thru.:wink:
