I am going on a bear hunt for the first time on the 15th of this month. I will be hunting in Ontario, Canada. I was wondering what type of scent some of you AT ers have used and been successful with on your past bear hunts. I will be bow hunting. I have purchased a quart bottle of the BACON scented attractant from BEAR SCENTS company, but dear God, I would be sick to my stomach if I had to go for a week with that smell. I have heard that the VK from Team Fitzgerald has been used with good success. Any help or tips woud be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Rogbu

With all due respect, if this is a guided hunt over bait, it may be wise to ask your outfitter if it is permissable for you to bring attractants to the baitsite/stand. Many guides frown on that practice, myself included. Just a word of friendly advice.

I've used the exact same bear spray and the bears go crazy over it. After a couple days the the area you spray will look like a small meter had hit!!!!!
