Howdy
Does anybody have this treestand or a gorilla hang on stand. Are they worth the money? Also, it states the seat height as 20", would that be with the 3" foam seat or without? I'm thinking about getting my son one for his birthday and they are closer to the $100 I want to spend than my favorite the lone wolf at $190.

Any input would be helpful.
Thanks
Dan

I recommend and use nothing but Gorilla brand when it comes to hang-on stands! I have five of them that I've used for four years with zero problems.
They are comfortable, quite, and "roomy". I'm a man of fairly substantial stature (6'3", 270 lbs.), and feel totally safe when perched in one. I have sat in all of mine from before daylight until after dark many days and have not felt cramped up or uncomfortable once. They have remained tight (several other brands I've tried have developed a squeak after only one year of use), and show little sight of wear after four years even though they stay outside from August to January every year.
You can't go wrong with a Gorilla!!

I just bought that exact stand today from bass pro. they had it on sale for 119 bucks.

also got some lone wolf climbing sticks to go with it.

I set it up this afternoon and sat in it for about an half an hour. its pretty comfortable and quiet. very easy to hang. ill have a better opinion of it once i get a chance to hunt out of it, but im pretty happy with it.

I only have 3 gorilla stands for now and wont buy anything else from now on. For the price they cant be beat. If anyone wants a Summit copperhead stand let me know, will trade for a gorilla or sell for $75 plus shipping.

I was lucky enough to find a sale at walmart and pick up two gorilla climbers for $45 a piece. I just saw the same on advertised for $179. I have not hunted from it yet but I have climbed trees with it and it works great. The seat is comfortable and it is pretty quiet and easy to use.

i have 2 silverbacks and 6 kong series stands. imo some of the best stands you can purchase for the $$$. Had i not discovered the millenium stands from hunting solutions last year, I would probably own several more of these now. i now am pretty much going with the (1) millenium stand and 20 receivers which gives me 20 stand locations. The original purchase of the millenium stand cost $180, but the receivers are only around $20-$25. and by far the most comfortable solid hang on stand I have found to date. Plus I like the fact that no more stand left in the woods to be stolen from the trashy hunters that lurk out there.

I just bought one at Sam's Club ($99.00) two weeks ago. It now resides in Southern OH. It was easy to hang, very sturdy in the tree and weights less than most other hang-on's...except my loc-On Spirit.

The built in mechanism that wedges the stand tight against the tree works great too.
