I'm thinking really hard about using the 125 grain razortip this year and have some questions. How hard is it to change the blades and the springs out and to get them assembled properly? I don't like things that are difficult or complicated. How sharp are the blades and can you hunt with them right out of the package or do they need sharpening first? How are the blood trails and do they leave big entry holes? Thanks.

This will be my 3rd year hunting with the reaper's & they are awesome. I have shot 2 deer with them 1 @ 15yds pass through deer ran 5yds. & fell over & the other was @ 25yds pass through deer ran 40yds & went down & the blood trails were like someone took red spray paint & sprayed it on the ground. As for the entry & exit holes the reaper's punch some nice holes in them.

Not too hard if you follow the instructions and are mildly mechanically inclined.

I know a lot of people have commented on difficulty to assemble, but when I bought them, they were already assembled, so I only took them apart to clean them after proving their effectiveness.

Advantage over a aftershock head would be a larger entry hole, disadvantage would be less penetration. From a high stand and a steep angle (close shot), I didn't get pass through shooting at 65#, 100 grain head. It did kill the deer, dropped within 50 yards, I heard and saw it fall from my stand.

The blades and spring are easy to change out. the blades are sharp straight out of the package you shouldnt have any problems i wont shoot any other head.
