Anyone had any experiences with both of these or just experience with one (good and Bad). Was looking for one to try out (I like to experiment) on deer and with both of them having a very large cut, would be good for turkeys?

Whitetail specials kill everything they touch.

I've shot the mega meats in nto foam target and two of the heads lost blades in target. If I were to go that big of cut I'd go WS grims

I've killed 2 with the mega meat's and they've worked great. Massive holes and great blood trails!!

I’ve heard from reliable sources that both are 1 & Done broadheads. The G5 has mech blades known for their sharpness. Heck, the Deadmeat is the only mechanical I’ve ever accidentally cut myself on just by handling.

Killed a few with WTS not very durable. They bent easily. Lots of pressure on blade retention ring. Would not bet on winning vs heavy shoulder hit. Mega is different in the fact you'll have alot larger hole on entrance. I to broke blades trying to pull it out of a target but it's basically barbed and not coming out. I have a couple I ve shot a few times into dirt with minimal wear on head. I still need a little more testing to make a commitment, but I'd trust them over a WTS.

I've shot both and while both are good, I definitely prefer the G5 Megameats due to having a much larger entrance wound. I've only killed one with the megameat so far but it was enough to make a believer out of me.

Grim reaper wts-
dad shot a nice buck the year before last with a Grim Reaper whitetail. Hit the shoulder blade unintentionally and it blew right threw it then hit top of the heart, made it 40 yards and dropped. Shot was about 21 yards from a 60lb bow. The blades were bent up, but that's to be expected from a mechanical if you hit bone.. but the main head was still good.. could easily put new blades on and use it again if absolutely needed.

I shot a buck that same year with this head and it was a clean pass through @30 yards also 60lb bow he made it also about 40 yards and dropped
From my experience these are both good broadheads.

No experience with the Mega. Ive shot plenty with the WTS though and I'll tell you theres not a better head for deer made.
Are they super sharp? No
Are they super durable? No You'll probably lose a blade now and then. Ive lost maybe 2 in 30 or so critters.
Will you have a blood trail? DAMN STRAIGHT YOU WILL. Probably wont need it though.
I've never bent the ferrule on one. I have hit some with a sharpener and went round 2 with them.

Absolutely devastating! Fist size holes, quarts of blood on the ground. If you do get into the shoulder or opposite leg it looks like a 300 mag wound.

I dont know why you wouldnt shoot one. Maybe if you're pulling girl poundage.

90% of mechanicals are one and done. The perks are massive blood trails and short tracking jobs

At least the Grim Reapers are designed to be rebuilt, so as long as the ferrule is good you can rebuild cheaper than buying all new heads.

Yeah, I'm sure they're a nice head and I've considered trying them I just prefer a rear deploying head.

Much easier to rebuild than Grim Reaper spring and cup design. The ferrule is also much shorter and heavier which means it will not be as apt to bend as the longer and thinner Grim Reaper.

I wanted to take a test shot after stand yesterday. I brought a beat up mega meat I ve shot a bunch into dirt piles. Picked out a leaf at 33 yds shot and leaf disappeared. I hit some nasty ground hard as hell. Head looked the same as before I shot. That's over 100#s if k.e. into hard rocky dirt and no real damage. I'm going to start trying them on stands with closer shots. I have more faith in them then a WTS.

G5 Megameats are awesome on game. Only 3 kills to date with them and I had questioned their durability after the first two kills with them. But…this season I whiffed on a coyote and stuck the Megameat in the bean field, pulled it out of the mud and it was good to go other than cleaning it up. Killed a deer last week with one on a very close shot and after the full pass through it to stuck the the ground, blades need replaced but fully intact. They cut massive holes too…

Just shoot the deadmeats and save yourself the heartaches and excuses. 1.5” is like 50% bigger than our ole muzzy’s, and still bust bone and penetrate all situations (with todays bows). Why mess it up?

Not the Whitetail Special, but the Pro 1-3/8 did a number on this guy Friday evening. I'm amazed it went 125 yards after the shot. Cut part of a rib on entry, stopped on offside after cutting a chunk off of the offside scapula. 45 yard shot, 62 pound 29" draw Bowtech SR6, 450 grain arrow.

Offside wound channel, front leg removed.

After I rolled him over. Arrow had worked its way almost all the way out, stayed in through 100 or so yards of thick nasty stuff and he died on top of the arrow. Big chunk of lung was stuck to the tip.
