I hunt primarily elk in the northwest and would like to hunt whitetails a little more effectively. Thus far I've tried to spot and stalk but as you might guess I've had no success. Recently some friends have asked that I come thin the deer population on their property as they are eating all the flowers and other vegetation. My question is rather simple. Would I be better off with a tree stand or a good ground blind like a double bull? Would scent be a problem with the ground blind? The only reason I would consider it is ease of use and the fact that my teenager could be in there with me as well. What do you see as the advantage and disadvantage to each? Thanks
