With so many options, I figured I’d ask for real world experience. What ground blinds have you had success with bow hunting 2 people out of?

I just picked up a Barronett blind from Amazon. If the weather holds up I will set it up this weekend for the upcoming turkey season.

I was actually just looking at those, and see they’re listed as “light weight and easy to run and gun. For the price I like it, I’m just looking at durability as mine will be brushed in a few months out of the year.

I use ground blinds a lot, and I buy ameristeps because they are cheap enough that if they get stolen, or torn up by wind, I’m not out a lot. Honestly, I can get 3 years out of one, so that works out for me.

Baronette Big Cat 350. My hunting buddy found them on sale online in the winter of '20 and bought one. We hunted from it several times last spring and I liked it more than he did.....he doesn't really care for enclosed blinds. So I bought it from him after spring turkey season.....plenty roomy for two grown men, stools/chairs, bows, quivers and packs.

I've been using the cheap Ameristep blinds and they work well. Had one mounted up on a 7' platform for 3 years without taking it down before it finally gave way. It did get blown once into our pond but that was bad anchoring on my part. Had to patch a few tears last year with some fishing line and camo gorilla duct tape but it made it through it's 3rd season before giving up the ghost.

I’m in this camp as far as longevity. I had an Ameristep out for three years and it held up well. After a lot of snow this past winter it was still doing well till we got a very wet heavy snow and it finally let loose. As far as two bow hunters not the best choice. I’m interested to see the recommendations for a solid two man blind.

Baronett blinds have worked well for me. I have the Big Cat which is nice sized for two people and all the gear. They also make a blind called the Big Mike which is taller than the Big Cat. I have also hunted two people out of a Grounder and a Radar model. I like their products, I have four of their blinds.

Honestly i gotta go with the cheap ameristep as well. I've owned double bull and currently own one now. They are nice but the one thing no blind company seems to understand is weight. Blinds are heavy. The cheap ones are light.

The Big Cat 350 is what I own.....made for two hunters and gear...it is designed big. At least 20 years ago I bought a "Lucky" blind from a fellow here in MI, it has a solid hub with several metal legs that do not fold down much. Works well, but is heavier and smaller than my Barronette Big Cat 350. Part of the reason I bought the Barronette was that it is big enough to lay down for a nap or even an overnighter. With a camo moving blanket, pad and sleeping bag it is ready for whatever comes.

I own 2 rhino blinds, a couple ameristep dog house blinds, a primos double bull surround view and a barronett big mike. I got lazy and left the double bull out for two years and functionally it is perfect. The color has faded some but it’s the toughest by far. I bought myself the big mike for Christmas, left it out two weeks and something had collapsed the top down, which caused the roof to fill up with rain and it snapped a rod. Barronett made me pay for the replacement rod. You will never regret spending the money on a promos double bull, and when you need something and call their customer service a real person answers the phone.

I leave my blinds out from mid-August through December/early January and Xenek blinds are the only ones I have that hold up...the two Baronett Big Mike , Primos and Ameristep blinds were all pretty much useless after a season (snapped rods, busted zippers, rods pushing through pockets/corners).

I have my first Xenek that is over five years old and the only problem with that is some slight fading on the front window fabric. Plus, they come with a nice back pack bag with extra straps and storage pockets so it is easy to move everything in one shot.

I also am looking for one. I borrowed my cousins Ameristep doghouse blind for a couple weeks and it’s just not big enough for myself at 6 foot 29” draw. I could make it work but wasn’t very comfortable and I feel it would be very easy to see me trying to draw because of all the situating I had to do. So from my very limited experience I would recommend something larger than that blind. For gun or crossbow I’d say it’s perfect.

Barronett Big Mike is what I've always used & they have held up well. But I just picked up a Guide Gear blind from Sportsman's Guide & I have to say it's so much better. Same height but bigger floor space. But the window system & door is so much better.
