I like to stalk the best. It's a lot better than sitting in one place all day.The next best thing is a natural ground blind . But at the end of the day I will do what ever it takes to get meat in the freezer.

Stalk and still hunt. Use some natural ground blinds also.

I've always used treestands but this year I'm going to try my portable ground blind. During Spring Gobbler season I found a deer super highway at Quantico Marine Base but there wasn't any good trees to hang a stand in, so we'll see what happens.

I hunt

I have ground blinds, tree stands, natural ground blinds, and I stalk.
It all depends on the situation...
If I have the boy with me, it is gonna be either a ground blind or a 2 man ladder stand.
If the misses is with me, it will definitely be a ground blind.
If I am alone, then I look to the wind and weather to decide.
My personal preference is stalking with an occational stop at a natural blind to conceal movement while grabing a drink or a litle snack and rest. But then again, I like ot hunt from dawn till dusk. Start in a good blind about an hour prior to first light, about 10:30am start a stalk, stopping for lunch about 1pm then stalk till about 2 hours before dusk and pick a blind to finish the day out in.

I like the view from the stand (I can see where the deer are moving) With only 40 acres to hunt stalking could be done in 10 minutes. :)

I say use what you want for the stuation. Ground blinds can be fun as well in certain situations. Why limit yourself.

10mins./40acres?

If you can cover 40 acres in 10 mins., you may be moving too fast and not stopping enough. Slow it down some and I believe you'll see more, but do what works for ya.
