I’ve been having an issue with my epsilon activation cord losing tension after several shots. I’m pretty sure I narrowed it down to the clamp not holding enough tension. Hamskea‘s customer service is sending a replacement. I’m putting tension on the cord to the point the rebound dampener slightly stretches per the installation instructions. While keeping that tension, I’m tightening down the clamp and the cord is running through the slots.
I’ve tightened the clamp down to where it was snug, to where it actually spun the nut inside the plastic piece, and to where I’ve held the back of the nut with pliers and tightened it down to as much as I reasonably could without going overboard. After a dozen shots or so, there is slight play in the launcher arm where I can move it up and down an eighth of an inch or so. The oval piece the cord runs through also has the same amount of play in it. I’ve even had on three occasions the cord completely slip out of the clamp.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues or if it’s be worth trying a different material for the activation cord? Possibly using BCY 24 since it’s a little thicker and stiffer?
