Can any of the micro crossbows be cocked without a rope cocker? It may be something that I wouldn’t ever need to do but I had a vixen that I used and didn’t use the rope cocker very often. I have also hand cocked a matrix grizzly some, though it was definitely tougher.. are Any of the micros doable? I thinking the 308 short would be but would really like to try a 335. Just not sure about the angle of the string. Anyone cocking the micros without a rope?

I could hand cock my 90 lb draw Apex when I had it..I can't imagine trying to cock any of the new ones without, at least, a rope cocker.
I could probably hand cock an older style Vixen II..but not without gloves on..

I have a old Criss bow and the draw on it is 150lbs I only ever cocked it by hand and the bow was longer as well, and I was younger and smaller back then lol.

If your man enough but you really should use the cocking rope it’s easy to apply uneven pressure by hand which will actually twist the crossbow and perform poorly using the rope maintaining even pressure will improve accuracy

I found the exc. charger crank to be a worrthwhile device. Just be certain to use the hand strap and triple check that the cranks rear stock anchor pin is engaged-if not the crank with pop off half way to full draw and break something (like your scope). it also works great for uncocking the the xbow while in the field.
