Looking for some input on a hard bow case. Throwing around the idea of hitting up some shoots next year that will/may require I fly with my bow. Up to this point I have been using an Aurora double bow case but don't feel comfortable flying with it.

Currently I am shooting an Elite Verdict and would like to be able to fit all of my stuff in the case along with my bow, Target stabilizers, quiver, arrows, sight, and if room a pouch of some small replacement parts.

Looking for brands and models with pros and cons. The shops around me don't stock much in the line of hard cases, I did have a chance to check some out at Scheels the other day and they just happened to have a used TRX 38 on the shelf that I could use as a size reference but they were all to small.

Spend the money and buy a very good one, you'll be happy you did. Years ago I traveled to Wyoming to hunt and my metal bow case looked like someone hit it with a sledgehammer. I have no idea how that dent in a metal case could have happened. I now have this SKB and love it.

I have an SKB double bow case I bought in 2007 that still works just like new. I recommend looking into the double size. It might be hard to get 2 bows in with sights attached, but it easily holds/protects 1 bow securely and fits all arrows/accessories you need.

If you honestly want to take care of your bow go with the SKB I bought the double to keep my bow on one side, stabs and quiver/ arrow tube on the other. also has a little cut out on the side for your release, rangefinder binos or whatever you need. its worth the $400 I promise.

SKB. Buy once, cry once.

A neat trick with SKB..... Buy some high density foam from the craft store and do some customizing. I use my SKB for guns and bows by swapping out foam pieces.

I recently purchased a Pelican Vault 800 for my Verdict. These are DIY cases that require you to cut the foam yourself. I have a cutout for the bow, binos, and a small case that I keep some tools in. No room for arrows.
I drive to all my destinations but I wouldn’t hesitate to put this case on a plane. I would have preferred a case that held more gear but the price was exorbitant. For the Verdict, you will need the largest case made by Pelican or SKB which will set you back closer to $600, not $400. The Vault lists for about $250. You choose.

I was looking at the Pelican V730 case. The description says it has five layers of foam. For those the cut their foam to match the bow, how many layers of foam do you cut? I guess it depends on the bow and what you have attached to the bow. I am a compound target archer and I plan to remove my sight/scope when placed in the Pelican case. Thanks

Does anyone have feedback on the Legend Everest 40? I have a target bow with 36 ATA. LA currently has this model on sale.
