I've had the hardcore max and I liked the adjustability of the trigger pressure and pull. The rotating head was nice and kept minimum torque on the dloop.

^^agreed^^ not familiar with truglo but i use the hardcore max and love it. the trigger is adjustable for both pressure and travel , release body has a inch of length adjustment, head swivels on a bearing. Actually nothing I dislike about it , a great release

anyone have experience with the truglo detonator?

 

I have one. First open jaw release I’ve used. I like it better than caliper type. And I really like the BOA system.

You can buy a used trufire Hardcore Max and buy a new boa strap from truglo. I'm doing it with a Carter release.

So i ended up going with the detonator. i'll try it for a little while then perhaps upgrade to the hardcore max at somepoint.

 

I got a Hardcore Max about 2 months ago, and for a wrist strap model is one of the most comfortable ones I’ve ever owned. It works better than any other strap model I ever owned too. You won’t go wrong with getting one.
