i put them in the toe area and on the outside of my heavy socks. it only burnt one foot (three toes).i ended up spending three days in the hospital,they took the bottom part off my toes,with a scalpel.
the doctors said it was a chemical burn. then they got infected.

never again will i use them ,in my boots!

How long did it take your toes.to heal? Did you keep them dressed in bandages? Were you taking any antibiotics at the time of healing?

I would like to know if anyone has ever gotten burnt from using foot warmer packets?
I got second degree burns in one hr with them. I couldn't tell if it was burning or being too cold.
My hands were so cold i couldn't feel my fingers and my toes were tingling.
I removed them ,not because they were too hot,but because they were uncomfortable,and were hard to walk on them.
Just interested if anyone had this experence.

What was your healing time like? Did you keep the toes covered in a dressing during this time also? Did you apply any antibacterial cream or ointments to the toes ?
