Today (Aug. 20th. 2005) my wife forced me to go to her family reunion. I knew that it would be held at her Sister’s house that is surrounded by woods. So much to the irritation to my wife, I put on my Camo clothes, grabbed my bow, arrows and release so that I could go out into the woods and do some practicing for hunting season.

Here are a few photos that I had my Granddaughter take of me out there enjoying the woods and doing a little practice:

I think I may have blown all of my brownie points for the year by my actions, but it sure felt good to get into the woods to do a little shooting and photo session. Besides that, it sure made the family reunion more bearable!

This last photo just about says it all:

Not to sound NEGATIVE, but I don't think the camo pattern fits the background. Here is a classic case where the camo DOES NOT Break-Up your silhouette.

Nice pics, but you better start thinking about how you look to a wild animal!!

Your camo sure blends in well!

Hey, would you mind if I used one of your photos in my drawing I'm gonna do about archery? Also, i like that hat you got. It's unique to say the least.

BowtechArch,
That's normally just my "Sunday-going-to-meeting" Camo. ;) :) I wear Camo Leafy wear (complete with headnet) when I really go out into the woods to hunt and it blends in great.

Silver Dingo,
I've been eccentric all my life, so everyone just leaves me alone and pretty much lets me do my own thing! :teeth:

Hey bowcop,
it's great to hear from you! How have you been? Did you get to shoot at the Silver Arrow Bowmen's Broadhead Shoot? I was busy and forgot all about it! :(

DB,
"Must be an old timer thing" ;) :D you got that right my friend! :( :D
Hopefully, this year I'll get to keep my animal instead of leeting it run out onto the freewaqy and get hit by a Semi-truck! :mg: :( :)

rembrandt,
be my guest my friend! Glad you liked the photos and I feel honored that you would consider using one of them in a drawing! :) I would love to see the drawing when you complete it! :)

jasonmich,
Those vanes are the infamous Turbo Nocks that I have been shooting for about 5 or 6 years now. You can check them out at: http://www.turbonock.com
I love them and they work great for me. :)

It's easy to do my friend, but the situation afterwards isn't to fun to live thru! Try it, you might enjoy it!

BandanaMan,
That camo doesn't blend that well with the brush around me as well as I like. I have a set of Leafy wear that goes over the top of the camos like I'm wearing. I'll attach a photo of my other gear at the bottom of this message.

Clothes don't make the man.

Not to be positive about being negative, but Camo will do just fine. You would probably hunt from a tree stand and that Camo will do ok against tree bark.

camo.

And remeber that most wild game don't see at the same color spectrum that we humans see. so what dosn't blend for us may very well blend for them.

Yes, I have done that and my wife sure was mad when I got back. The only thing that saved me was my two boy's excitment about being in the woods and looking for stuff.
