Ur right in not wanting the illuminated reticle. Batteries fail. I've got a 380 with a Nikon xbow, and just got a Scorpyd 125 and got lucky and picked up a xb30 with rings on EBay still new. I'll never shoot anything else besides a hawke after that. You dial them in at 30 which is the first mark below main crosshairs and the other reticles are set. I made a 40 yard shot this morning here in my timber , I was on my butt -16 degrees , I used the 40 yards hair and zipped her across the top of the heart. Every hair is dead nuts....all the way to 100 yards. Look at the direction sheet on Hawkes website. The standard hairs go to 60. They're an awesome xbow scope. I hope ya find one man.
