I recently retired which gives me a lot more time to shoot, build guns, and play with my crossbow. I have an original PSE X Force Pro 70# bow which I love and has served me well but a couple of shoulder surgeries have put and end to that, now it sits in the case. I actually have three crossbows (all recurve) one of which is a German made "Cheap Shot" Cold steel used to sell them but now they are marketed as a GoGun Adder. The cool thing about it is that it breaks down without tools and can fit in my backpack yet it's still legal in New York. It was originally 130# draw weight but I just ordered a 190# cross limb for it. This creates a bit of a problem. The two vane 15"bolts are the diameter of a 350gr. carbon arrow. I'm going to cut down and fletch some of my old arrows and add a weight to the front. Has anyone ever tried adding a liquid to the hollow part of the arrow to increase mass? I'm limited as to diameter and am worried about limb shock and beating up the unit.
