I am new to archery, I have hunted with rifle in past and I am interested in bow hunting now. I have a few ideas of what I am looking for in a compound bow, but I am pretty interested in traditional recurves as well. I do not know where to start looking or what brands to look at when looking for a recurve.
Here are a few notes about myself that may help with input...
I am 6 foot
Male
Interested in hunting deer, elk with this bow
Budget of $250 for a used recurve
Any tips of what to look for, or what questions to ask when purchasing a used
recurve

I appreciate any input.

thank you, but unfortunately, we only have a Dicks sporting goods here in the big city of Wichita. Our Gander Mountain store has compound bows, but their archery expertise is questionable, even according to the store manager.
