OK never set the timing on a mathews LX whats the best way to know if its right.

If I am wrong on this, then you can easily get the answer on mathews website, on their forum. Since it is an older model bow, I am not entirely sure, however, it will be easy to tell if you have the timing holes on your cam. If you have them, they are small 3/32" one on the top side of the cam and one on the lower. Simply. Place drill bits of that size, or something else (I use old brass sight pins) onto the holes and run a straight edge along them. These holes should parallel your string. Measure the distance between string, and straight edge.
