help with 06 Allegiance

I just put on a set of Stone Mountain strings and cables. The bow was pulling 70# before and now all I can get out of it is 65...maybe 67. The tuning dots are correct and I have twisted and un-twisted the strings trying to get the poundage correct. The most I was able to get was about 68 but the string was so un-twisted that I could not get the peep to align properly. Brace height and ATA are dead nuts on. Anyone know what to do next. Short of boxing it up and sending it to Crackers.

I'd start by removing the cables and string. Twist all to factory specs and reinstall. Check bow specs. If draw weight is low, twist the cables. As cables are twisted to increase draw weight, draw length will also increase. Twist both cables the same number. You may need to twist the string a bit to get draw length back where it was. Lastly check let off. Twisting the top cable (cable attached to the outer perimeter of the top cam) will increase let off. Put in 1/2 twist at a time. Untwist this cable if let off is too high. The number of twisits needed to set let off won't affect draw weight. Be careful not to set let off over 80%. This is for a RH bow.
